Downy Woodpecker
The Downy Woodpecker is our smallist woodpecker and one of the most common. They are also not very shy, often pecking away at the tree trunk, seemingly oblivious of what's going on around them, allowing people to get a closer look. (Click on each image to see the high-resolution version)
